Hello everyone, I'm vixdev again. you may be wondering what happened to the game, why did it change its name, which is purgatorium.
well, today I come to explain this giant decision that I decided to take for the good of the project.
ok, this is a little difficult to explain. the name change is due to several factors that determined that it was the best option.
The name "Dormitabis Remake":
Few will know since this decision I didn't decide to say it openly, but the game took a different direction to the one that was being planned since 2021/2022. currently the game is more of a "reimagined/Reboot light" with ideas and concepts that to my head would look good. but you may ask, "wouldn't the name "Dormitabis Reboot/Reimagined" have been better, and my answer to that is yes and no. the motivation to change the name is mostly because of how ingrained the name Dormitabis is to the bad image of its disgusting creator. that's why the game doesn't have [Name Redacted] in its credits as the creator of the original game. i've decided to put Owne instead. to avoid having to put him in the credits. the new name works as something refreshing that doesn't make you think it's a simple reboot to dormitabis. i've heard people say that the simple name dormitabis makes it seem that it won't be remarkable because of the image that the original creator has. and they are right. because of this i've decided this change is for the better!
Independence:
It sounds weird, but for these moments I think it's the most correct word. the project currently has almost nothing of the original product anymore. only small basics like characters, mechanics and office. but in story, some new characters, plot and others are more belonging to a fangame more proper than a simple remake.

but it's what i think is right to say.
the project remains the same as I have shown these months, just suffered a slight name change. although with the calculations that I have taken, the game will have a duration of 6 hours or more to get 100% (these are calculations made quickly, I do not confirm this at all) but I decided to add new things that you will see soon as it is minigames in 16 bits, 2 new endings, cutscenes drawn with shading and others!
