Heya!
Just wanted to give you a quick update about what has been happening lately.
First of all, things have been tough for the past couple of months since we were short-staffed at my job for a while now. To help out, I was taking as much extra hours as possible, which was really exhausting as you can imagine. (however that does mean that I get more incomes so it's worth it in the long run)
I haven't had much time to draw because everytime I had a break from work, I just wanted to relax, watch a movie, play video games or get some rest.
I've been trying to draw stuff here and there to not completely get out of touch, which is something I was always scared of. But I don't think it has happened, quite the opposite actually. The fact I've taken a break made me explore and discover stuff that I wouldn't have found out if I was just focused on drawing all the time.
However now that I have more time, I've been trying to find something to do to get back on track. Something that would force me to experiment and learn new stuff while also being fun to work on.
Long story short, I've been working on a small fnaf fangame because I feel like I still didn't get the closure I wanted with this series. As some of you might know it, I made some small fangames in the past. Nothing big but some of them still hold up pretty well even today.
Honestly though, I've always wanted to make a LEGIT fangame. What I mean by that is a fully playable fangame that feels like a solid indie game rather than a 5-minutes long experience that leaves no impact whatsoever. I've tried to do that a few times in the past but it never really worked out for different reasons (lack of motivation, personal problems, issues with the project itself... etc)
Recently I decided to try again but take a different approach. So far the project has been going really well, the first night is being tested by a few of my friends at the moment and I'm on my way to code the rest of the game. There's still a lot of work that needs to be done but I'm really happy with the progress so far.
But just to make things clear, DO NOT expect it to be a revolutionary fangame that will blow everyone's mind. I just wanted to make something that would be fun to work on and fun to play (although that will have to be determined by you).
I can't really confirm if the project is gonna come out for sure, mainly because I have so much other stuff to take care of at the same time. However I've made enough progress that even if it does get discontinued today, I could still release it on Gamejolt as a fun little experiment. But of course, the goal right now is to follow the current plans and make the game as good as it can be.
I'll try to keep you updated about it (since that would force me to be more active online haha) without hyping you guys too much due to the uncertain fate of this project.
Thank you for reading,
