Hello y'all. I'm currently doing a bit of rewriting and re-contextualizing a lot of my characters while preparing for some videos that supposedly have small lore, and one of those characters is Rêddy, so uh...
What the fuck is Golden's Quest?
Golden's Quest was a project I was planning to do a long time ago. It was going to be an animated series regarding Golden Freddy, aka Cassidy, after the events of Ultimate Custom Night, and funnily enough during the events of FNaF Security Breach.
The story would focus around Cassidy, the soul possessing Golden Freddy and self-proclaimed "One William Afton Shouldn't Have Killed", waking up after the "Leave the demon to his demons" secret from UCN, several years after William Afton had escaped thanks to the last remaining member of the Afton family, attempting to find William Afton to lock him on purgatory again - but as the story progressed that idea'd shift to a more "Actually it'd be better to just kill him, considering how this whole thing has gone down."
I was aiming for a Petscop-ey feel, with graphics and animation that mimick and try to recreate how a videogame - an RPG with visual similarities to Pokemon but a system closer to Undertale/Deltarune - based on FNaF would happen.
I am not completely throwing the idea away, I think it has some ground to stand on and I may get back some day in the VERY far future, but for now it's absolutely canned.
Better Explained Plot
As previously stated, Cassidy wakes up several years after William Afton escapes thanks to a mysterious third kid of his and possesses Glitchtrap (and Burntrap, since I wrote the whole thing prior to Jackie and The Mimic's creation).
Cassidy would travel through the "Virtual Realm" (because VR), encountering several animatronics glitched and corrupted by Afton. Arming herself with an axe, she would have to head down layers of the Virtual Realm, finding Old Man's Consequences - Rêddy - in the same mission as Cassidy, with some interesting plottwists.
William Afton would appear in some episodes as his human self, mocking Cassidy for only allowing him to live further and come back to life, but would appear in the final episode as the hideous mess (Ultrakill reference fr) we see him in Princess Quest 1, unleashing the final fight of the game.
Cassidy would have small glances into Security Breach, manipulating some of the events that happen in the game as to help Gregory achieve the Burntrap ending, and be able to defeat the Body and the Soul of William Afton, slaying him once and for all.
There would be around 7 chapters, mostly of 12 minutes of length each, with Cassidy fighting a lot of enemies yet skipping them all because I ain't animating all of that.
There also would be no open ending or possible continuation, as William Afton's evil is completely rid off and Cassidy rests once and for all, a closed story with a good, happy ending. Maybe on anniversaries I would reveal different endings that could've occurred if Cassidy or Gregory didn't defeat Afton's Soul or Body respectively, or did different decisions at some parts, but it would never directly continue the finale.
Why it was Canned?
It was too much workload for me. And, to be quite frank, I don't have the skill set nor know anyone who knows how to do the 16 Bit Style I would aim for, nor the time to do every single thing.
I will probably try to learn 16 bit pixel art some year in the future just to make some further concept art - or even the series in its entirety, however for now its just a thing I cannot do.
Specially in 2025, where my plans for CustomerON and its brother channels have majorly shifted in a lot of ways.
Hopefully a video coming out this month? I haven't really began working on it and I have three others I want to do, but I'm already cashing into the trend extremely late (Certified CustomerON Moment), but you know.
If it doesn't come out this month, then there will be TWO next month. I have had a video scripted for like a month and I have just been trying to find the creative point in my brain to say "Okay this is how the editing will go" to actually execute on it.
Needless to say, I have other plans that aren't FNaF fanfiction-y stuff.
So, that was all I wanted to say.
Now, if you allow me to...

I'm gonna do some game dev
