Where did this game idea came from?

While I was thinking of what game we should create at Trianons, I was searching for ideas in the internet and found the indie game One Step From Eden.

I thought the game principal mechanic, which is grid movement and two sides of the map (your side and enemies side), was interesting and as a study and I started to code this using Game Maker Studio. the game One Step From Eden was made using Unity engine.

After I could make the grid movement, the player mechanic and an interesting enemy AI, my leader told me to continue this project and publish it and I started to think, how we could make a different game with this mechanic? At this point I asked for my friends help me with and idea, and one friend told me to make this mechanic turn into a dodgeball game and we have some idea to adapt the mechanic and other mechanics/idea to put into the game.

After that I made a research of dodgeball video games and the ones I've found there's nothing related with the principal mechanic of the game and we started to think about the game visual and the others mechanics to make. Another cool idea, the game theme will be animals in a forest playing dodgeball.

So, I hope this game will be fun. And if you have any suggestions, just say it.

How the game will be:

You and the enemies have to catch a ball and trow to trying hit the other and after some time the balls will appear again. And the one who eliminate the other team wins

Making the art of the characters. Animals will play the dodgeball in the forest with a banded armadillo.

So

i may or may not make an full art of some person or i may just leave this like that-

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
