Things are coming together nicely! I added hearts to display the player's health and it works nicely now! I also implemented a simple gun (which in the future will be able to hold any weapon) that is controlled by psychic abilities. This is still W.I.P. !
A first combat test! Don't mind the programmer art test world, we have an amazing tileset by @KageGengar coming up.
Here's a small preview of the game's first tilemap. Some changes still need to be made and more things will still be added to fully flesh out the area, but its really starting to come together now!

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.
In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
