The template room I posted earlier ended up looking like this, which serves as the main room of the game. I’m rather pleased with how it turned out. All those months of following Blender tutorials weren’t a complete waste :D
Development is on schedule, despite missing out on two days due to other obligations. Not sure I’ll have quite the polish I’d like, but there is only so much I can do in 2 weeks time.
What you can’t see in the picture is that I have integrated the voices of Troels “Space Quest Historian” Pleimert as the protagonist, the wonderful Ivy Dupler as his lovely wife Linda, and the rumbling voice of Adrian Vaughan which gives me the chills. Although it wasn’t feasible to have all the text voiced, as many of the lines are being written just as I implement the corresponding game code, it’s there where it counts and really enriches the game’s atmosphere.
