Killer in Purple 2 v1.4 (Story Update)
Yes you have read that correctly, a new Killer in Purple 2 update. "Why?" you may ask. Well with Project Bunny being in the works VERY slowly (this due to my Backrooms game being more in the works), and there being some issues with the story in KIP1 and KIP2, I have been working on a story fix update for about half a year now.
At first this update was just gonna address the story, by adding new cutscenes, fixing some small retcons (like the Back in the 80's building).
But in my Discord server I got more and more motivation to work on more stuff like optimization, new props, a full map re-design, etc. Which is exactly what I am gonna do.
So about a couple months back I tested the RAM (Memory) usage of KIP2 v1.3, and found out the game uses about 10 to 11GB of RAM.
I was pretty shocked by this and just for fun tried deleting almost all my code starting with the Shop. Just the shop alone was about 1GB in RAM due to everything loading it at once when not needing it.
So currently after a couple months the entire shop system has been recoded with only a couple MB in memory as well as some parts of the game like the customization menu, save files, game instance, player, pause menu and a couple other things (not finished yet), sitting currently at a 1.46GB of RAM usage in total.
This is where you come in!
I want to hear from you all! What is something you've always wanted in Killer in Purple 2 (as in content, not ports to Mac, Linux, Android or IOS).
I'll try to read every comment on this post and I'll see what I can do. A lot of things are already planned for this update that have been requested many times in the past, and I've also added some of my own things.
Don't be afraid to post something. It might be that it doesn't get added but I want to listen to what you all have to say, so if you have always wanted a specific prop to be added, let me know and I'll take a look if it's possible.
ONE IMPORTANT NOTE THOUGH!!!
A lot of people have requested animatronics like the Glamrocks, Nightmares and FNAF 6 animatronics like the Scraps and Rockstars.
Sadly these are not possible to add cause Killer in Purple takes place in the 1990's, and it wouldn't really make sense to add them for story purposes.
If I do find a way to add them I would, but as of now these will not be added. (this also counts for props from that time)
Excited to hear from you all, please stay realistic when it comes to suggestions, I am a single dev, so I can't add massive things to the game.
