YOLO (What really happened)


Hello everyone!

Don’t you just love the smell of freedom in the morning? Alright, weird questions aside, I did a lot of work on my game. ‘What has this to do with freedom?’ you might ask. Well that’s simple. Since this game has a resolution thats about twice as big as the original game, I get a lot more graphical freedom. Animations look smoother, and sprites just more detailed. Last weekend I almost made the entire intro. Inclusive new graphics, animations and text. I completed it this weekend, but I didn’t have a lot of time thanks to a dutch holiday. So last 2 weeks consisted out of creating the intro, and a lot of tweaks. Removing a lot of bugs, making the 60 fps stay 60 fps and some more programming on the killer.

Something else I wanted to talk about is the fact that a friend of mine is going to help me with level design. I will give him the freedom to come up with complete new area lay-outs. even for the original 4 areas.
It will safe me a lot of time, and it will speed up the development. I just hope he doesn’t change his mind once he sees how much work it is :P (I know you’re reading this right now Yassin.)

Something else that might be fun to mention, is that I aim to have this game completed in a maximum of 4 months. It may sound as a long time, but I will need all of it. And this is just a date for now. I will try to plan everything so it will be finished by then.

Oh I almost forgot. The title isn’t yolo for no reason. No I actually wanted to kinda give you a glimps of the new intro, where you can actually see what happens to Darren after he screams yolo:

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Hello my space friends! Now I added a space background to the ship. I love that space look but I still feel like stuff is missing. The lighting on the ship needs some improvements I think. Please tell me your opinion!

Distrust - HUMERUS (with dirty shade) Papyrus isn`t small. It's possible that I didn't draw him well, but he crouched down and bent towards us. I'm still bad at moments like this
