OK.

After some terrible burnout last week, I'm almost done with the penultimate animation - 3199 being "born"!

What's that Jeremy Clarkson quote? "Sometimes my genius...it almost frightens me."

Game should finally be wrapped up in a couple weeks or so!

For those wondering why I'm using the PS1 retro style, it's because I'm trying to paint the materials in Blender & I'm absolutely awful at it. The graphics are just hiding my chop-job texture work.

Cutscenes are up, and it's exhausting. Bear with me!

Sorry for the lack of recent updates - it's now either big things like cutscenes that I haven't finished yet, or small things to sprinkle up a scene. Or the main menu.

It's not finished yet, but I'm almost done with the cave in the game. Check it out!

Alright, so maybe 1-2 more weeks - but it WILL be before the end of June, I promise!

Finished the "Epilogue" section in 1 fell swoop today - just text across the screen. Also added "Game Options" earlier in the week.

Guess who's got 2 sore programming hands & just gave himself a near-panic attack by screwing something up & realizing that he forgot to back his project up for three months???

Thankfully I still fixed it, it shouldn't set me back too much, but UGH!!

Getting lost in the dark, so I added a working compass on the map screen - it does help a bit.
I also need to re-rig the 3199 model because all of the animations broke & now it can only do the chicken dance. Don't ask me how that happened, I have no idea.

I think I've reached the point where I'm sad & I need to finish this game & move on to something else, so I'm going to try speedrunning the rest of it & put band-aids on the biggest problems.

For example, I'm making a map now to fix the big map size.

The main shed & lock system. Honestly, this lock-and-key system shouldn't have taken as long as it did.

I'll be starting a part-time job soon, but I'm going to try and be more consistent with future updates.

Now to work on what's down in the basement...
