What do you think?

Nice job for first time using Construct! I'll try and leave a useful comment :P Keep in mind I do know this was a one day thing.

You say in the description "challenges traditional platforming game mechanics" which made me go in thinking this was a shift in platforming. Using Mario as your characters further assured that. However what I found was a physics puzzle. Where the only way to reach the flowers was to not jump on the next platform. It took me a few times of looping around to figure it out because I was not in a puzzle mindset. I was trying to make Mario not jump as high. Now I know the physics of Mario's jump wasn't your point. But that's what I got caught on. Simply removing that second platform will allow your player to focus more on the point of love.

Now if you added that platform intentionally and knew what it caused, you should change your description a bit or maybe change to not using Mario characters. It's only a puzzle if you tell your player it's a puzzle. I was taught "platformer with flower puzzle" and then thrown into a physics puzzle. Also realize people are dumb, I'm included in that, and we can pretty much only learn one thing at a time. You need to separate the flower puzzle from the physics puzzle in some way.

Long winded stuff over. Looking forward to seeing whatever else you put together.

The Power of Love is a prototype that challenges traditional platforming game mechanics (hence the nods toward Mario). It is also my first time using Construct 2. Movement is via the arrow keys on the keyboard.

It is a little clunky and needs some polish, but I was getting used to learning Construct 2. Thus, I was more concerned with getting my game done. I figured if I felt the idea was worth redeeming, I would take the time to polish it. I spent only a few hours on it.

Feel free to offer suggestions or comments. I am mostly interested in the level design, if the rules are clear, and if people get the "point" of the game.
