who knew that fantasy creatures still roam the forests of Canada - you learn something new everyday, i guess)
ahem-ahem, now for real, this game is pretty damn cool! it heavily reminds me of the duelyst game, being a card game with strategy elements mixed in here and there, and the artstyles are very similar, too! although, this one leans more into the rogue-like genre, which is still nice. the gameplay itself is mad fun and strategic, especially once you get into it and learn to buy as much torches as you can and ditch all the mermaids out of your deck for filling that precious hand space, the amount of cards is nice but i don't think i've encountered any new ones outside of the ones you have in your starting deck, and the upgrade system is a nice touch, although you have to play A LOT to get even one upgrade done (also why can you even upgrade the defense and lives on the torch HAHAHAHAA) - all in all, this is pretty good and addicting!)
the two gripes i have with the game is that, firstly, sometimes you encounter opponents that just stand idly and let themselves get beaten to oblivion and, secondly, it would be nice if you could change the main character's graphics - i like the ranger sprite, don't get me wrong, but i'd like to try out the other sprites, too!) other than that, the experience is rock-solid and bug-less. huzzah!
Fight your way through the hard roads of Canada, Upgrade your Deck and equip yourself as best you can. Your journey to Saskatoon will be long and arduous. Best of luck.

FightingÂ
Drag cards from your deck onto your lower grid
Goal is to bring the enemy champion health to Zero
Champion Defence is increased by each play card in the Sword and Shield rows
Card played in the Shield Row equates to 3 Defence
Card played in the Sword Row equates to 1 Defence
Consumables can be played on any cell with an active card. Torch and Poison Potion are meant to be played on your opponents grid. Potion can be used on the champion or your grid.
Keep an eye out for a units ability as it can play an important role
Cards can be discarded from hand or removed from grid to open up strategies in case you get stuck. They will be returned to the used card pile.
Upgrading
Upgrading can be done at the main menu. Points are used as currency and are accumulated after a run.
When out adventuring gold is now used as the currency and can be spent when outside of battle.Â
Hint : Start by focusing on one unit to upgrade
Equipment
Every battle will reward you with Gold, Points and one piece of equipment. Make sure to check your equipment screen after every battle to compare your new gear to your old.
Deck
Define your deck by clicking the Yellow Box in the bottom right when outside of battle.
Cards can be bought and sold at the merchant which appears on your journey. Make sure that any cards you want to sell are not currently in your deck.
