A very early look at a long term project I'm working on. At the end its going to be a choice heavy rpg that has a major emphasis on what you do. Eg, some choices can change the entire outcome of the game.

What I have here is most of the prologue area with some of the quests. The prologue is around 90% complete. This is the product of around 173 hrs so far.

  • New content

New area Fairy's forest entrance & Fairy's Grove.

Added a branch of the main story.

Started another branch of the main story.

Added 2 new tile sets.

Added multiple new bmg.

Added timed lights in some areas.

Added 18 New npcs. (2 interactable, 16 static till later in the story.)

Added various quest tracking tabs.

Fixed some timed lights from previous version that did nothing.

Fixed pathing of some enemies.

Fixed lack of sound on some surfaces through the forest.

Fixed abnormally dark times of day.

Fixed abnormally dark storms caused by time and weather shifts applying multiplicity instead of additively.

Fixed a bug where the forest would be in perpetual night.

Fixed a bug where time would shift abnormally when loading some areas.

Fixed a bug where time would shift abnormally when reloading the game.

Fixed a number of texture bugs throughout all maps.

Stopped some death flags from triggering early.

Stopped some collision from triggering invalid flag resulting in game overs.

Fixed lighting bug that would cause some lights to not toggle properly.

Fixed lighting bug that would duplicate some lights.

Fixed audio bug that would double play footsteps for npcs

Fixed audio bug that would occasionally cause the bgm to stop.

Fixed a bug where some non visible npcs would have footsteps.

Fixed a bug that would cause max difficulty to be unobtainable.

Fixed a bug where the paintings would fix themselves but not set the flags correctly.

Fixed a bug where the wraith enemy would have abnormally high stats.

  • Known Bugs.

BGM on boss does not properly change when entering area.

Cursed school boss does not properly illuminate when entering the area.

Cursed school boss does not currently have proper scaling.

Colliding in the wrong way with npcs that chase or have set paths deal damage based on fps. (Might leave this in as a feature.)

Lighting Revamp!

6 new areas.

Early look at cursed school. (Head to the new library at the top of the Academy and stand on the magic circle in the cent of the room.)

New dynamic time system.

New plant growth system.

2 new tile sets.

Early look at guild.

Internal components for crafting, alchemy and botany added.

2 Buildings moved.

12 new buildings.

A handful of npcs added.

  • Bugs Squished.

Fixed a bug where the day and time system would behave abnormally with specific chairs and areas.

Fixed a bug where some areas would appear abnormally dark during specific weather occurrences.

Fixed a bug where night was far darker than intended in some conditions.

Fixed a bug where morning would appear far brighter than intended.

Fixed a bug where some doors would take you to an unintended location.

Fixed various clipping issues.

  • Known bugs.

Some areas are not properly lit at night.

Cursed school still has a host of bugs. It is not finished.

Cursed school is only one floor, 2nd floor is not implemented yet.

Some areas of the library have clipping issues.

Half the library is abnormally dark at night.

Some tiles in the library don't have sound yet.

  • New content

10 new areas. (Full forest, cabins, slight school tweaks)

2 new events added.

Weather system changed to be more consistent.

Tile sets for town changed to be more more compatible with weather and day system.

Day of the week system added.

Clocks now say the day of the week.

Added footstep sounds depending on environment. (20 in total.)

Fixed a bug where depending on time of day screen wouldn't change correctly.

Fixed a bug where weather would be permanent, even indoors.

Fixed a bug where weather would rapidly change while going from area to area. (Now only changes when time passes)

Fixed a bug where excess amounts of rain would be rolled.

Fixed a bug where two npcs would run off for no reason. (No clue why. Copying and pasting their same script fixed them)
