This game defies description. It's not a style of game that usually interests me very much, but it's so totally different from what I expected.
First time I played, I thought the game was glitching out (mostly because of the sound breaking up) and I just restarted, but given what happened in the second and third playthrough, I get the feeling all that was quite intentional.
Will have to play through a few more times to find more varieties of weirdness
I liked the concept of an AI random generation based adventure. I was bummed my attempt at alcohol poisoning just resulted in getting tired. Though kidding. I would like to see where else you take this concept.
Was not expecting this experience at all. It was fun to play the sim mechanics, but when quests start to appear everything changes and turns much more interesting (although the university sim concept is quite interesting too). Is gripping how things turn obscure , and just to know: are those events related to the major one chooses at the start?
Visually could be much better, specially for the characters and the campus backgrund. I loved the music, it would be great if you upload it here.
What I didn't like: you don't really have the chance to flirt enough to find a couple (but maybe that was my fault); a lot of times I felt I loss agency and it was frustrating (what if the player doesn't want to complete the tasks imposed by the disturbing characters?); why characters get horny after chating to other characters at the first interaction? (I know is something that happens all the time, but one can do other activities to appease that need).
I played it 3 times: first, people who dissapears; second, the hidden aliens and the abduction; third, the possessed. And it was nice to see the reference to They live.
This is surely something else. It felt like a dating simulator, but then it took unexpected turns. If you're patient through the initial days, it's worthy of your time.
Ok - you fooled me all the way long - I really believed it was "just" a simulator-like game - while it's more than that - if you keep on play long enough. Short (not considering the simulator part) but nice and unexpected - so clever. Nice one
Leaving home to go to university is one of the most significant real life adventures many people experience. An entirely different world and community make it an exciting and unpredictable time. Almost anything could happen.
Your character and all other people you meet in Echoes of Academe are randomly generated. You need to meet your character's needs and responsibilities, but all other characters also have their own personality, desires, preferences, and ambitions you'll need to contend with as you make your way through your first year as a university student.
What adventures await you in the revered halls of academe?
