What do you think?

This was a really nice game! I would very much like to play an expanded version with lots of levels, sound etc. For a demo, the difficulty level was fine. In a longer game, the first levels should be easier than this and the later levels more difficult, perhaps with some puzzles. Good job!

Fun idea for a game mechanic. hope you will expand on it - it has potential!
and robots are always a +1 :p

I think the mechanics of this is a great foundation for a bigger game if expanded on. The core gameplay stuff is really interesting. Once this gets more fleshed out I'd love to try it again!

I can't for the life of me get to the section in the upper left. How do people do that?

I like the idea and the setting - there should be more games with robots as protagonists! :) The game itself is a start. It would be nice if the description that can be found on this page (what is it about, how to play) was integrated into the game, before the game starts. Are you planning to continue working on it after the jam?

Not only my first attempt to build up something in Unity but my first entry to a Jam! This was created during nights for two weeks for the AdvJam2020.

It's a distant future, the power grid runs through our streets for out convenience, valuable cables connect the power grid anchors to where this power is needed, but this valuable cable is often stolen and sold in the black market, leaving people with no lights!

Luckily for everyone, Re enterprises developed the Connectors, robots that, with limited supplies, go into the dangerous outside world and use enhanced bow and arrow to reconnect the missing links.

How To Play

You play as a Connector!

Your objective is to make a link between the anchors and the power towers, you will be able to do this by standing on top of an anchor and shooting, but be careful! you have a limited supply of cable AND arrows.

Controls

S D - Side to side movement

Shift - Sprint

Space - Jump

Mouse - Aim

Click - Shoot (Holding down increases arrow speed)

R - Restart

Disclaimers

This game might feel unfinished due to the lack of playtesting for bugs, I did my best to keep collisions as general as possible to not get randomly stuck while walking.

This was a way bigger idea with more than just one level but hey, it's my first jam, I'm happy I finished it. This could be considered a demo for some of the mechanics I had in mind since I left some out, otherwise, I wasn't going to finish.

Even though I poured my heart and soul into this little game and I love how it came out, please feel free to Critique and Comment, I'd love to hear from anyone that played my game, what did you like, what didn't you like, and what would you like to see.

Sorry for the radio silence! Was waiting for the jam to be over to post updates and then I got carried away adding more and more stuff :D

A lot of things changed, a LOT of things, nothing here is final but I like where everything is going!

Posting soon!
