Operation Night Shift : Order Of Robots
Back in the late 1990s, Robot Industries 11 wasn’t building entertainment machines — they were producing service droids for underground facility operations. No flashy colors. No dancing mascots. These robots were designed for maintenance, pipework, pressure stabilization — labor built from steel, wires, and silence. The company claimed the machines were “fully secure,” designed to follow commands without deviation. But something didn’t stay buried. Reports of units moving off assignment. Faint mechanical noises in powered-down zones. Malfunctions they couldn’t explain. Now, the site is nearly abandoned, running on low power and emergency protocols. You’re contracted in to perform night maintenance: track units through heat vents, manage system temperatures, and shut them down — one by one. There are no cameras for safety, only the old console, and the echo of cooling fans. But something deeper might still be running beneath the floor. Something they forgot to turn off. Or maybe… something that woke up on its own. #horror #strategy
