What do you think?

played the game for an hour or so and i have to say that it was an amazing experience - the game plays very good, the visual style is VERY unique and definitely pleasing to the eye, the plot is engaging and makes you actually feel for the characters involved, the various locations and exploration is done pretty nicely, the character and enemy designd are all awesome ( i especially love that every major character has their own color in their sprites and dialogue images!), and the jazzy music is amazing - especially the battle themes! everything also works well (i only found one bug, but we'll get to that later!)

i only loved some of the little, but nevertheless enjoyable details about the game - the battle command wheel appearing on the characters looks awesome and i haven't seen one like this in any RPG Maker game i've played!) the battle result screen in also very good and reminds me of the persona series (well, the whole game does remind me, along with silent hill, but it still has that unique charm to it that you can't find in both of the beforementioned games), i also loved that instead of your plain old saving you Bookmark a page in the game - such a little but also such a nice detail that makes the atmosphere of the game all the better) i also wanted to say that despite handling very heavy themes like bullying, suicide and other problems that teenagers (like me!) go through, the game handles them very well - i myself was actually a bullying victim, but, fortunately, it stopped the more i settled into the school - i even talked out one of the other victims of bullying to change schools (and, honestly, it was for the better - he's doing great now), and i loved to see raymin change his ways after the battle with sorrow and snow - even bullies like him deserve a second chance!)

but, with all that said, there are still some problems here and there (mostly technical) - since this is a demo i understand why they're here and i hope that you'll fix them in the final release. firstly, in the prologue with nocturne creating grey there's a spelling mistake - you should replace the "both sides fear each other existance" with "both sides fear each other's existance". next, grey's and lyne's sprites have some artifacts here and there - mainly black dots or stripes that aren't connected to anything - they're usually around or above the hair of the characters. namely, grey has artifacts in his sprite when looking down, right and left, and lyne has them when she's facing either left or right. next, there's a weird visual bug after the first fight with raymin - in the courtyard there's two lyne stading beside each other - i believe that you should remove her from the party before playing the after-battle cutscene and add back later, maybe this will help!) there's also another spelling mistakes when you first meet alice - "you children are so nieve" should be replaced with "you children are so naieve". next, the most nasty and damaging bug in the game happens if you go on a day off from school to the "behind the school" location - you can't exit it and you can't interact with anything in there( but, with all that said, most of the problems or bugs in the game are not fatal and don't make it bad or unplayable - except the pretty nasty last one(

all in all, i had a blast while playing the demo - blu_wraith, you did a very good job at making the game not only engaging and fun but also pretty close to home and thoughtful! i hope to see more updates on the game's development and will definitely check out the final version once it's out!) as for you, blu_wraith, i wish you only best of luck, lots of inspiration and nerves of steel while in the process of game development!) take care!

90/100 VERY GOOD

While many people on the sidelines have to live through harsh lives with no clear end to it all. After being born into this world, you're put into a position where you can defuse the conflict and help bring about a better life for humanity...

Weather its creating a world for humans to strive....

A world reborn to create more catastrophes....

This game has explicit mention and implication of a number of touchy subjects in it; if mentions of suicide, sexual exploitation/violence, school violence (ranging from bullying to mentions of school shootings/attacks), mental disorders like schizophrenia, and political discourse offends you to any significant degree I would recommend not playing the game.

New Game+ works correctly now. (Yeah took 6 months to fix sorry in hindsight)

Its been quite a while but I'm proud to announce the last major update for greyscale (for the foreseeable future ^^;)

There's quite a lot new that's been added, but much of the changes have been new lots of new content, New Game+, and tons of rebalances.

The game has been updated to Version 1.0.2. Lots of random bugs got squashed this update thanks to some of y'all reporting them :D

Just pushed out an update to fix a softlock in the game regarding the school.

If you have a softlocked save on the old version then you should be able to transfer the "saves" folder inside the "www" folder into the new build without any hitch.

After over 530 hours in RPG maker and god knows how long drawing and editing photos. On top of writing and editing a whole script.

The full version of Greyscale is finally complete!

I'm going to be taking a break to focus on school for a while, but enjoy!
