LFKC PSP Prototype - August 2008
From the Council of Lost in Time Games (CLTG) forum:
Lana's Fantastic Karting Course PSP (abbreviated as LFKC PSP) was to be a port of the infamous kart racing game of the same name, developed by Zentorno Interactive and published by Mystic Solutions Incorporated for Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Xbox.
It would have been released for the PlayStation Portable (PSP), along with an unconfirmed Nintendo DS version developed by LowerSoft Games, and would have included virtually all of the game's content, including DLC, as well as new missions for the DLC characters in the campaign mode.
LFKC PSP was planned for release on May 26, 2010, but was canceled a few months before its launch. A demo of the game, with only one playable track, was made available on the PlayStation Store, but it was removed after overwhelmingly negative reviews from critics such as IGN, Metacritic, and others, and the expiration of the licensing agreement the developer had with 3D Ghost Productions, producers of Fundamental Paper Education, the television series on which the game was based.
To this day, only a few prototype versions are available, dating back to 2008, the year in which the game apparently restarted development, according to the former programming director of Zentorno Interactive.
LFKC PSP was repurposed as Racing Maniacs, a 2D top-down street racing game with licensed music and cars, released in 2012, several months before the studio's closure.
In case it wasn't obvious enough, this is all completely made up on my part. FPE belongs to A3DGhost (Kaaatie), as do practically all the characters, including Lana. I've simply taken it upon myself to give lore to this project that I haven't touched since 2025 at the latest.
