Wow. This game seems to have A LOT of secrets, and i've spent some hours now just going through everything, and i honestly am not sure whether i've actually fully completed the game or not, but i definitely have seen enough to satisfy me (unless there's like something super mega cool hidden behind all of this i'm missing, i might go back another day to check it out more).
The glitchy 4th wall breaking type of game has been done countless times, so it makes it a challenge to attempt something new but this game definitely succeeded and managed to surprise, it really felt like a strange sort of experimental art piece with the crazy visuals and (possible spoiler) how the screen size changes and just tiny stuff that was very offputting and made it feel like the game was breaking some boundaries of the computer almost like a virus. i'm a pretty hard person to scare, so it didn't really phase me too much, but it did manage to give me a very creepy feeling though, probably not helped by the fact i'm playing super early in the morning.... i quite liked the ominous and subtle details which are some great methods of horror. The most terrifying parts to me where always inside the house and walking around and seeing the small changes going on, and the scariest part was definitely the beginning when there's a ton of uncertainty, it definitely sets the mood well.
i liked the choices of old music and the distorted piano stuff, and some of the crazyass music was cool but the buzzing sounds really just hurt my ears and weren't all too scary, more just headache inducing lol. The most disturbing audio to me must be that distorted audio clip of someone talking (i think it's supossed to be Elise maybe?) that was a good piece of scary sounds.
It's overall a pretty solid game, i was creeped out, i enjoyed figuring out the secrets, it actually managed to do the 4th wall breaking stuff pretty well and in a unique way, (the readme file is actually really good to set the mood even though it doesn't even particularly say anything ominous, just implies many things) and i liked the little unique touches it had.
Any info on Party 3 or if you're working on it?
