Whoever hasn't played this visual novel is SERIOUSLY missing out. I've been following this project for a few years now, and I really want to express how much I've enjoyed playing this game whenever it gets an update. (It needs more appreciation, because it's an underrated masterpiece!)

I got to say, I like the story premise of this and how it's being told so far. It's giving me chill, but I do like the bg art and characters. This is awesome, thank you for creating something awesome!
I have to say, this game is truly something else. In my years of playing diverse games, I have never encountered one with such profound psychological insight. Beyond the thrilling sci-fi aspects, I find it fascinating how Angela was able to delve deeply into the psychological responses of the characters. For example, the unsettling realization that one’s own friend can’t be trusted or that one’s defining characteristics are being manipulated resonates with me, making it clear how succumbing to one's desires can be detrimental to others.
Furthermore, what draws me in even more is the variety of endings this story offers. Indeed, from a pure, happy, and almost childlike love to a dark and tragic demise for Kyou and the girls’ futures, the game shows how even seemingly trivial decisions can have crucial effects when compounded. This level of subtle yet impactful storytelling is a resonating reminder of the impact of our actions and desires on our future.
Admittedly, this game has personally influenced my life. I now better understand how power can be a double-edged sword, and I have also been inspired to empathize with others, knowing that, like Hiroko, they might be struggling beneath the surface.
I want to end this reply with heartfelt gratitude to Angela DeMille for creating such a masterpiece. It is an invaluable work that can change how one views oneself and life. I hope everyone takes this game’s message to heart and that Angela knows how deeply her work has touched people.

Penlight is a visual novel set in a high-school with a heavy emphasis on mental conditioning. While still in development, the current release is fully playable from start to finish. It should be noted that all characters featured in the game are in their senior year of high school and are over 18 years of age.
