Reef Rivals is an upcoming couch coop party game!
With Reef Rivals, we want to put the couch back into coop gaming! This game is supposed to be a simple yet fun local party game to enjoy with friends, not more, not less.

We plan to launch within the next month. Until then you can play the demo here on gamejolt! But keep in mind: Its a very early uncomplete version of the game.
GAMEPLAY
In Reef Rivals, you will compete against your friends in so-called "Cups". Cups can be played either as duos, trios, or squads and consist of a random selection of 3 minigames. You can score in each game based on your placement. In the end, the player with the highest score will win the cup!
The game focuses on short, fast-paced minigames that usually don't take more than 3-4 minutes or less to finish. After finishing just pass the controllers around and dive back into the action! No long wait times for that one friend that never gets to play first.
On launch, the game will come with around 10 different minigames which are randomly chosen from for each cup.
With each completed cup, you will collect points! Points are the in-game currency that is used to unlock new characters. Reef Rivals will feature at least 10 different characters at launch. There are mermaids, divers, a sausage, and many more. Every player will find his or her favorite.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Reef Rivals is a collaboration of three game-loving friends that don't believe in season passes, loot boxes, and paid DLCs. We want to go back to the roots of gaming: Having fun with friends and unlocking every last piece of in-game content by playing.
We plan to release the game here on gamejolt and on steam at the end of this year for roundabout 5$.

"HOCKEY" has everything: Ice cream sandwiches, dangerous gigantic ice cubes, spinning hammers, and a cheering crowd! Your parents definitely want you to wear a helmet playing this. And knee protectors. And full body armor.
Have you ever eaten a donut and thought: Wow I really wish I could jump through that tiny middle hole? No? Well hear me out: In "SLIDE N SCORE" you must jump down a slide and hit the donuts hole to score! Or you miss and get yourself wet for nothing...
"SNATCH" is all about speed and skill AND gummy fishes! Collect as many as you can before time is up. You have to use dashes and jumps to outmaneuver your opponent and avoid dangerous obstacles! Why do these Gummy Fishes move? We don't know either!
"CLEAN UP" is all about... Well... Cleaning up. Cleaning your side of all the boxes before your opponent does, will make you win! But beware: Players are not forced to stay on their sides and can easily sabotage each other! Don't get frustrated.
Look who came to watch you play hockey! Yes! It is THEM! And now: Give them one hell of a show!
In "Stairs" you need to build your way to victory! Whoever touches the bell first wins. It's all about timing, movement, and betraying your friends at the very last second. Don't get frustrated (like the little guy in the clip who cant even make it alone)
"Octoball" is basically like soccer. With a huuuge ball. and Spinning obstacles. On a floating platform. I guess its not exactly like soccer but you get the idea!
Our "Pregame" level is ment to be sort of a warm up area and allows both new and experienced player to get used to the controls before jumping right into the real action! This level will be played before each new cup you start :)
