Toontown nightlife simulates the original in a JRPG form. The story revolves around a city named "Toontown Metro" outside of the regular Toontown playgrounds in the original game that was taken over by cogs as a way for them to compete with the toons with corporate deals and keep the toons away from going with their times. The playable toons have been summoned by the mayor of ToonCity Metro (the city's name) to reclaim their city. It aims to include anything possible from the original Toontown. It also boasts character creation. Allowing you to make whatever you want, even give them tails! Introducing power. It buffs and debuffs stats. Unlike the existing gags, there is strategy to use each level.
ToonCity metro is a large city based on real world metropolitan cities. By some random magic, the city is permanenently dark. Making their nightlife the best in the world of Tooniverse. However, it's not like any other place in toontown where it's all fun and jokes (although it is a lot of fun). A lot of people work harder than the regular playground but a lot of people mess around during the night life too. The cogs did not like the fact that they were having fun THEIR way so they took it over.
