What do you think?

I'll second all the positive things others have said, easily my favorite of the jam. I love how balanced and deliberate this game is in weaving all its parts together. It has extensive and original lore, but it feeds it to you in *just* the right doses to keep you entertained. It's very nostalgic (in a good way), but it doesn't rely on references and can stand on its own even without the member berries. The puzzles are just the right difficulty, nothing is too easy, nothing feels unfair. And just by the way, there's also an effective whodunnit that keeps you guessing. Loved it!

Criticism? I want a 256-color VGA remake, not big on the SCI0 aesthetic personally ;).

Yours has been one of the first games I've played just after jam's end - and I found it astonishing for atmosphere, lore and graphic impact - really a great and wonderful jump to the past - done in a perfect way. I've waited till today to finish playing it and I can't avoid confirm my initial impression. Other games you did were spectacular - this is simply that, too, but in a completely different way. Probably my favorite game in this jam.

Wow, Dave. This is something else. From a game design point of view, the idea of the camp to act as a hub is really clever. Also, puzzle flow is ace. I found them not too hard and not too obvious either. Also, I enjoy some pixel hunting (in this case, pixel hunting works as some kind of exploration as hotspots have no feedback, I think this adds lots to the ‘exploring’ aspect of the game.)

I like the use of black screens (same resource you use on The Drifter and I love it) and text to describe what’s happening. I find it really a powerful resource (It lets you imagine everything and works also as some kind of ellipsis).

Art is amazing, but we all know this enjoying the screens you shared during the development of the game. Screens have variation and it’s really nice unlocking new ones.

And story wise, wow. Love fantasy themes, and The Telwynium story works great. I won’t spoil anything here, but I’m really eager to play more of this world (even read about it!)

I felt so young again while playing The Telwynium. Thank you for this beautifully crafted adventure!

Looking really cool with the SCI0 style graphics and the subtle CRT effect. It does feel like an authentic evolution of SCI to the point and click nature of SCI1 while keeping the 16-colour EGA graphics.

I'm a bit at a loss for what to do at, I think, close to the end of the game:

In the cave, I've managed to allow Pen to light the fire, and I can attract the dancing lights to the Aldor's staff, but after that, I don't seem to be able to do anything else. Was pretty sure I should either give the staff to Pen or use it on the golem body or just the stone door, but nothing happens then.

- Winter's Dawn -

Your home, the village of Willows Dene, burns at the hands of the shadowfell. Only the power of the Autumn-Aldor Dwinn stopped it from being overrun completely. Now, led by the Aldor, you flee to the west, for the White City, Aldarris. With you are your childhood friends Tani and Witt, the irritable Uplander Otarr Stronghorn, and a colossal golen of mud and stone, summoned by the Aldor as the shadowfell attacked.

It is your first night away from Willows Dene, and you have first watch.

This is an early 90s style point and click, with Sierra SCI0 style graphics (but a point 'n click interface).
