Title Song (BenniBen)

A short story fighting game set in a town called Riverend. (the river stops there) You will play the protagonist, who on their normal day to day walking to the store encounters a wolf attack! Wolf attacks are relatively uncommon, but this one is especially unusal...

Currently, inventory in the works. Combat will be overhauled shortly, and the protagonist' house will be pushed to its own map! Art is being constantly chipped away at, and I've been considering dropping pixel art in favor of something I'm better at.

Inventory is fully functional, and equipment changes your stats. Combat has been fixed, at least the combo system. AI leaves a lot to be desired. Art is going to stay this way, for now. Next up is stores, as well as more refinement in dialogue, and combat. Graphics of course continue to advance. (As much as a not artist can do)

For now, controls are as follows:

F to hit or interact. E is to enter buildings. Space jumps. WASD walks around, shift to run. You can fall off the edge of the world, still.

Theres a house simply missing in the middle of town. That'll get patched out next release.

Nothing crazy in this, still just a lot of art. Tweaking things here and there. Probably another overhaul of movement and stuff, should be transparent to user(s).

Pretty big changes to rendering and post processing. Finding something I like, that doesn't detract from the game. Mostly environment updates. After done playing with that, i'd like to get a quest system input, and get better combat, like i keep saying.

Got some work done on art. I have a long way to go, and have several plans for making everything real purty. Happy with progress so far, this update doesn't change much though.

Class has started, and my free time has decreased a lot. I will probably spend a good bit of time on art and asset creation.

I was able to upload a browser build too, of the most current version. So thats great, and makes playtesting easier! Nothing has changed, just added the browser.

Made some changes to the dialogue system, so that it can be a conversation, more than just getting talked at. This, and the last few changes, will be uploaded. Combat not changed at all yet. I just need to force myself to do art CONT-->>

No upload this time, but writing it down so i don't forget. Got the wolf working, first mob. Combat AI is still meh. Also added a wall so you can't fall off the world anymore. I suppose combat could stand an upgrade, as well as dialogue. Art? Who knows.

Edited most recent release to include a MAC build. Secondly, due to post processing FOR NOW, web player builds aren't supported here. So, to recap. RELEASES will ALL be in windows still, but STOPPING web player and STARTING mac builds!

Due to the post processing in this build, I likely won't be able to continue with the web player. I'll be sure mention whether or not, regardless. WITH THAT SAID, lots of visual stuff done in this release. Wolf and maybe a new state machine underway.
