after playing the demo i have some thoughts, im going to exclude any nitpicks about the sound design and such since it is a demo, but the doors being quiet when closed is definitely strange. one thing id like to mention is on the menu the "inspired by scott cawthons 'five nights at freddys'" (i assume it says) is cut off at the bottom. unsure if thats intentional but i felt i needed to mention it incase is was just something that slipped by without you noticing.
now when it comes to the game itself, theres definitely not much in this demo to get you hooked on the gameplay. To be honest this is less of a "demo" and more of an early build, a demo will usually have somewhat more content. for example, the official fnaf demos almost always went up to 2 nights, i think a few even went to 3, just so that the player could get a good taste of what the gameplay loop could be like, because usually the first night is somewhat boring and isnt enough to hook the player with its mechanics. Because of this, i definitely cant give a full set of thoughts on the mechanics, what is currently presented isnt really anything interesting. I'm sure something interesting will come later down the line in this games development, but currently there is just too little to digest. All I can say is, the mechanics are fine in the current state. Bonnie and Chica don't clash with each other, and the mechanics are perfectly understandable. Theres just nothing truly of note yet with them, thats the only problem.
Something else of note, this is just a sort of nitpick, this one doesnt really matter all that much, but i find the inclusion of a text tutorial before the night odd if theres a phone call that explains the mechanics anyway. Like i said this doesnt actually matter all that much everything considered, but it just felt like something interesting to note for me.
lastly, the sort of big issue i actually have with this demo is that the power consumption feels too high. To be fair, i did not run out of power, but even using my resources as sparingly as possible, i barely had any power left by 6 am. Now maybe this was intentional, a sort of way to "raise tension" yknow, which i can somewhat respect, but i feel like if this is how bad the power consumption is on a night where barely anything happens, how the hell could you make it through later nights where there will probably be a lot more going on?
Overall id give this demo a 5/10 currently, not because its bad but purely because i feel like the content currently presented within isnt enough to actually be of any note. I hope to see what this project becomes later down the road however, the lack of stuff leaves a lot of room for potential.
