After Sanctuary

It's been years since we left this bunker.

This shit hole we call home...

After what happened, it just didn't seem worth it. Who knows what's outside these walls?

We were some of the lucky few.

The few who didn't succumb.

The few to survive.

Things were going well at first, We had enough food and supplies to survive but that's all we did, survive. We didn't prosper, we survived.

We had plans to rebuild but...

We've turned away countless other survivors at first.

We wanted to take them all but we couldn't...

Hundreds if not thousands.

Men, Women, children.

We had no choice.

We couldn't house them all, we couldn't feed them.

We had to leave them outside to whatever fate awaited them.

The constant stream of people banging on the door, pleading for help, for food, for sanctuary turned into a slow trickle of emaciated shadows of the human form.

We were safe.

Now we're running out.. Running out of resources, running out of patience. We need to take our world back from... from whatever else survived.

From whoever else survived.

The time has come.

Our time...

Our time to turn survival into prosperity.

We have no choice but to leave this sanctuary.

To enter the outside world again.

To enter the unknown...

We don't know what we will face out there but we know we have to face it...

Surely others must have survived this and started to rebuild society?

We can't be the only ones left...
