Thank You very much for making a Contra fan game!
I am a big fan of the series and have started collecting
all the best bootlegs, hacks and fan games.
I have completed Contra Fanmade once before we both Bill and Lance, using XPadder and XBox360 wired controller, with no issues.
Recently I felt like playing it again on my Windows 10 laptop, but the game randomly stops responding to input on the AREA/CHAR select screen. Music plays, but neither gamepad nor keyboard FIRE/JUMP select the char and I cannot continue. This happens on NEW GAME or after completing AREA 1.
Any idea what I could try to fix this issue?
After some time, I decided to come back here and complete this game
Although I'm a contra fan, I have to say that couple things in this game are unbalanced. The snipers shoot waay too fast, by the time they fire, it will be too late to dodge. The yellow snipers aren't any better; their fire bombs are too fast and very hard to dodge.
Snow Tanks shoot better i.e slow enough to allow player to dodge the shots. However, their fire bombs are too fast also
Another thing that is really irritating is the diver shooters in stage 2B can hurt players even when they are in water. They should only hurt when they appear
That being said, I like the effort you've made to create this fangame. The returning stages were a surprise and give a nice tough after fin... heart boss
Speaking of boss, I'm not sure if there were supposed to be one after stage 1B. I fought one but it dies so quickly then ending scene is played

I have a couple new Contra levels uploaded on my page to try out. As a developer, I d'ont know if these levels are to hard or not hard enough....I'm not a HUGE Contra fan, but I have played it throughout my childhood. So let me know what you think!
Developing a Fan-Made Contra . Whenfinished it will be structured out differently then the original 8 but meaning have a menu where you can replay levels that are complete and keep records of the hi score in. I have 3 demo levels that are playable!
