[1994] First, the events of "Nightshift at Reddy's" happen. William Afton had a brother, Fritz. Fritz is the murderer in this universe. William was blamed for the murders, hence he came to reddy's partyland in 1994 to shut that place down and get his "revenge". The animatronics there had parts from the freddy's animatronics. William succeedes with the shut down of the restaurant (it burns down) and Fritz gets springlocked in a fox suit.
[2007] in the meantime Freddy's tried to reopen once again, this time with the toy animatronics, but closed just a few days later and the animatronics were sold.
[2014] and 7 years later the events of "The Black River" happen. William had severe trauma after the past incident, couldn't sleep most of the time. He finds out about the new Reddy's place, named "Reddy's Fast Pizza". It's now owned by a new CEO, which is Simon Miller. Simon tried to ressurect the deceased Fritz, but fails miserably. Simon is never found, while you finally put the souls to rest by killing Fritz once and for all. The restaurant gets shut down for real and for good and the animatronics are also sent to the storage facility.
CHAPTER 1:
10 years after the events of THE BLACK RIVER, Michael Afton has been living quite a peaceful life. He lived alone, had no family, only focused on work and playing games. Working at the restaurant as a typical security guard has never been easier. Except the hours, the hours are worse. His night shift started at 10PM and ended at 5AM, 7 hours of total darkness with only a flashlight and couple of mascots could've been a bit traumatic for him, yet they weren't even active at night. The only thing that Mike didn't like was sleeping in the day. He always felt tired after waking up, even a hot cup of coffee didn't seem like enough. Somewhere in June, his father called him. He seemed a bit worried. Mike found out that his father was evicted from his own home, and now since he had nowhere to go, Mike took him in and let him be at his apartament for about a month. Meanwhile in the restaurant, new animatronics were delivered. The manager told Mike that those were some old characters from location closed a long time ago. Even though they looked like they wouldn't harm a baby, Mike felt like something was off about those mascots. That's when the nightmares happened. The nightmares, that changed him. He never felt the same again.
