I would just like to suggest a stamina bar.
Being that there's no reprecussions to just slicing in whichever way you feel, the enemy can't even touch you. There's no true threat.
So yeah. That's it.

This is my entry for the #gameaudiojam and my first game ever!! And since it's my first game, I apologize for all the bugs you may find! I will try my best to fix them!
In Darkness is not the end, you help a blind swordsman called Zato kill his enemies. Since he is blind, he needs your help by listening closely to the enemies around him so you can kill them before they kill him first!
Also, there are some important things I need to say before you can enjoy my game!
1 - DON'T play the game on Fullscreen or else it won't work
2 - I wanted to have enemies come from both sides but I had a problem on Unity that I'm still trying to fix and I will update the game once I'm able to!
3 - Be aware that this is my first game, so it might have some nasty bugs that I still need to swat!
4 - I didn't have time to input any hit animations so if you hear high pitched voice, congratulations, it means you just killed someone! But if you hear a low pitched voice, it means you got hit! Enjoy!
