Before DOVELIGHT CRUSADERS, I made Dontrel Dolphin back in 2013. The game was a training exercise, and it received a mix of feedback. People such as Lowtax called it a piece of trash that never should have seen the light of day. Other people called it mediocre and boring. Yet, there was a small group of people who saw the game's potential. Therefore, I took all the feedback into consideration. Eventually I came up with a formula that became the Dovelight Series.
Looking back, I'm glad I didn't give up. Game design is a gradual experience that requires patience. As long as one doesn't try to emulate other games and styles, he or she will always have something special. In fact, the process is about innovation. That's what I learned. Therefore, I decided to share one of my early prototypes. Perhaps it might become DOVELIGHT CRUSADERS 5.
