What do you think?

How do I download the prototype?

Feedback:

The Good: The laser gun sounds are great as always, and the game map looks like it is the beginning of something really cool, especially those jumping launchers!

The Bad: Jumping is utterly terrible in this version, making any attempt at evasion or parkour impossible. Bigger jump sizes, double-jumping, jetpacks, and/or some other form of alternative movement needs to be implemented in order to make the game more interesting when you're receiving incoming fire from enemies.

The Ugly: While I'm aware this is still a very early alpha, the lack of an offline mode with AI players takes away a lot of the fun of the game, as I enjoy killing bots and fooling around in the offline mode best, personally.

Overall: Looks like the start of something new and improved, which I like, especially since I personally had a lot of fun with the first "Just Shoot" title,
but in its current (VERY early) state, this sequel/reboot leaves a lot to be desired, paling in comparison to the awesome (completed) predecessor.

so is this your game, mojangs, or is it same game on a different player?

the controls feel weird but this is in progress so im not complaining

Updated feedback: (Since my last post is very outdated and does not take into account the hard work obviously put into the game since):

The good: The added maps and additional detail, as well as the newly-added menu music and option menu!

The bad: I am unable to turn properly, making it impossible to clearly direct my character. (I know this is a very early public alpha version, so I get it, this will probably be added in later.)

The Ugly: Please add a way to mute the menu music! It's blasting in my ear, at minimum volume, as I write this updated feedback! Rather annoying. :(

Suggestion: If I could pick one thing I'd like to see added to this already very-promising game, it would be to see a maze-based map, perhaps using the background maze featured in your existing "Garden" map, I believe it's called. The intense feeling of turning lots of tight corners, racing ahead with the fear of an enemy lunging at you, coming from the opposite direction toward you, while you yourself running the risk of getting lost at any point, would be fantastic to see added! I could play on that type of maze map for hours!

The HTML5 version is now back online too!

Hey, just a small update! I recently noticed the HTML5 version was crashing for unknown reasons. I recompiled the game and made a standalone for all desktop platforms. Have fun! 🙃
