Exorcise the Cat

This is a 1v3 game (vampire vs. exorcists) where each player takes on one of the four roles:

• Cat: Vampire. Melee attack kills on contact. Game ends if killed.

• Priest: An exorcist who can Bless rooms, which slow the cat when they move through them. Respawns on death.

• Dog: An exorcist who can smell the vampire one room away. Can bark. Respawns on death.

• Executioner: An exorcist who can shoot a silver bullet in a direction after 1 second. Game ends if killed.

The three exorcists (Priest, Dog, and Executioner) should join a Discord voice chat to coordinate with each other.

Instructions

1. Download the 7z file and extract.

2. Run the ExorciseTheCatServer binary.

3. On 4 clients (or on the same computer for testing), run ExorciseTheCat.exe.

4. On one client, hit "Create".

5. On the three other clients, hit "Join".

6. Select your roles. The game will start after all 4 players have selected roles.

Controls

• WASD to move

• Spacebar to kill/bless/bark/shoot

Bugs

• Currently the game doesn't end if the cat or executioner are killed.

• Executioner's bullets don't show up on other players' screens.

• The clients are hard-coded to localhost for room selection. After the jam, we're looking to set up an external server so players can easily join from other networks.
