Game «5 Nights at Grandpa’s: Save the Moonshine!»

Genre: horror survival simulator with stealth elements and absurd humour (a parody of Five Nights at Freddy’s).

Plot

You are the grandson of a village grandpa, left alone at home for the night — in charge of… yourself. Before leaving for a visit, your grandma hands you a precious three‑litre jar of moonshine and gives you strict instructions:

«Stay in your room! Don’t step outside! Protect the moonshine at all costs — grandpa’s been drinking again and he’s up to mischief!»

As night falls, the old house comes alive: your drunken, mischievous grandpa begins his «nightly raids». Your task is to survive 5 nights without letting the moonshine out of your sight — and without leaving your room.

Setting

An old village house with limited visibility:

  • Your room (base location: monitor, door, table with the jar).

  • Hallway (visible via camera; where grandpa appears).

  • Kitchen (grandpa’s target — he’s desperate for more moonshine).

  • Porch (an additional entrance you must monitor).

Game mechanics

You operate from your room using:

  1. Camera system (3–4 angles of the house; start malfunctioning from Night 2).

  2. Door bolt (can lock the room’s door temporarily).

  3. Flashlight (limited battery; attracts attention).

  4. Radio (distracts grandpa with chanson songs).

  5. Night timer (each night lasts 10–12 minutes in real time).

Golden rule: you must not leave your room. If grandpa breaks in, the game is over.

Antagonist: «Mischievous Grandpa»

His behaviour evolves each night:

  • Night 1: wanders the hallway, tries to open your room’s door.

  • Night 2: finds the kitchen key, starts breaking the lock.

  • Night 3: enters «invisible mode» (disappears from cameras for 30 seconds).

  • Night 4: uses tricks like sudden door rattling or fake noises.

  • Night 5: attacks from all sides, sabotages cameras, mimics voices.

Nightly objectives

  1. Monitor grandpa’s movements via cameras.

  2. Block doors/windows when threatened.

  3. Distract grandpa with the radio or flashlight flashes.

  4. Keep the moonshine jar in sight (losing it means game over).

  5. Survive until 6:00 AM (timer on screen).

Gameplay features

  • Dynamic events:

    • Sudden power outages.

    • False camera alerts.

    • «Grandma’s warnings» via phone (hints or troll messages).

  • Humour:

    • Grandpa sings drunken chastushkas (folk rhymes).

    • Graffiti on walls like «Grandson, give me the moonshine — I’ll bring you candies!»

    • Achievements for absurd actions («Shone flashlight in grandpa’s eye — 10 points»).

  • Hidden mechanics:

    • Play the radio at 23:33 — grandpa dances for 1 minute.

    • Ignore the kitchen camera for 5 minutes — the jar «evaporates» (grandma’s joke).

Endings

  • Victory (5 nights): grandma returns, praises you, and grandpa sheepishly hides his empty glass. You’re awarded the moonshine jar «for bravery».

  • Defeat: grandpa snatches the jar, dances a victorious hopak, and grandma threatens to «ban you from pies for a month» in the morning.

  • Secret ending (Night 3): find a hidden key and open the shed to unlock a mini‑story about grandpa and grandma’s «moonshine conspiracy».

Target audience

  • Fans of FNaF who enjoy parodies.

  • Players who appreciate a mix of horror and absurdity.

  • Lovers of atmospheric «home» horror with a rustic twist.

Platform

PC (Windows/macOS).

If you're interested, here's the entire text from the note from Grandma.

Well, my dears, so I made the game menu and set up the buttons so that we could log in on the first night, so if you want, I can send you a file.

In the meantime, I'll continue developing.

Well, what do you think of the menu for the upcoming game? I know it looks like I drew it in Paint, which is partly true, but since this is a game purely for a laugh and to save moonshine from grandpa, it'll do.
