(This will mostly be shown through the backstory and lore of the game, As well with the choices gameplay aspect with the Whisper Of Soul influence being extremely present there), And with HUGE inspiration from Mario '85 belonging to Team '85 owned and directed by @SquishyBox 
A powerful being caused two realities to be in peril, Taking away and presumably killing the two most heroic people of both realities before raining hell down on everyone within them. Will Sonic's friends and even enemies team up with one of the Mario Bros, Luigi, And be able to defeat the violent shape shifting "deity" that is tormenting them to save the world?
