this mod seriously needs a balance update immediately. I'm not sure what happened behind the scenes; but, the gimmicks need to be toned down to a full extreme. I should NOT be struggling to play the second song of the mod with them turned on.

If the dev team wants to keep the current difficulty that those songs have right now, then they need to make tiers of song event difficulty like Indie Cross had done with their mod.

I'm going to keep playing more of the mod, but i seriously don't see it getting better as i continue forward unless I turn off song events. I don't want to, cause that would remove a charm of the mod that the devs put work into. So, i BEG of you guys to put into working on a patch release that balances the living hell out of this mod.

cool mod, songs are amazing, but its in desperate need of a balance patch asap.

im specifically talking about the note slowdown mechanic. its just annoying. it happens at random so you dont even see it coming. you just put it there because you could.

doesnt help that its spammed it damn near every song in the game for no reason. you gotta realize that annoying ≠ hard.

in Broken Reality it also happens at random for no reason, but the other mechanic in that song is also spammed, the Scroll Direction Change thing that sans does... not only does the scroll direction change at the start of the song but so does the scroll speed. its like you want me to just know its going to happen even though theres no indicators at all. things just happen, and your expected to just deal with it. the game just throws you in to new mechanics without atleast explaining them first.

this slowdown mechanic also greys out your notes, which is fine in most songs but for some reason its vindication??? the song where all of the poison and hurt notes look the exact same as the normal notes, and the only way to distinguish them from eachother is by looking at their color.... yeah what were you guys thinking bro

what also doesnt help is that for some reason the note timings are different? shit ratings are annoyingly consistent for some reason, and im always hitting goods when it should be a sick. which means even if the song doesnt have a mechanic, its still feels like ass to play.

you dont have to have annoying mechanics to be hard. alot of hard mods do it very well, so i know you guys can do it too.

its a "cool watch but hell to play" mod

ive never struggled so much hitting the first batch of notes on the first song and i just, i already know its going to be hell to actually play and its just unfun

I consider myself an avid FNF enjoyer. I'm by no means some sort of OSU pro, but I'm pretty good at fnf and I like mechanics. I cannot say the same for this mod, though.
(TLDR at bottom for you lazy folk.)

Ignoring the phenomenal art and music, the gameplay is something else in this mod, and not in a good way. specifically, the overusage of scroll velocity changes.

Scroll velocity is an okay mechanic- mostly when used in moderation or when you know it's coming, something this mod fails to do BOTH of. there are a few instances where you can predict it's coming if you pay attention to the opponent's side, but even then, the gameplay is frustrating- having notes suddenly slow down when they were going a specific speed to a crawl, or speeding up super fast throws you off. that's not something you can REASONABLY hit. it turns those parts of the chart into pure muscle memory rather than actual skill, which just isn't fun.

This issue is ESPECIALLY prevelant in broken reality: note slows, note FLIPPING. okay, can we talk about that, too?

note flipping by itself is a controversial mechanic, especially since most people are used to one specific scroll way, upscroll or downscroll. so to flip it and completely throw off people? it's, again, not enjoyable if you just cannot read it whatsoever. I feel as if this should've been an optional mechanic, like with how indie cross did it, there's a standard difficulty and a "hell" difficulty, increasing the difficulty of the modchart. I wouldn't be suprised if some really good players out there were complaining about the scroll flipping and the velocity changes.

TLDR; scroll velocity changes are spammed making charts unfun and muscle memory rather than actual skill, some mechanics are well done but quite a few songs aren't really fun to play

Great mod, but please change this fuckass scroll velocity mechanic. I want to enjoy a song first playthrough, not have to play it 5 times in order to not miss, especially considering how janky this hit engine is, coming from someone who usually hits most sick/good notes.
