Sonic.Exe: Amidst Catastrophe is the prequel to Sonic.Exe: Cybernetic Nightmare. The main goal of the game is to gather all of the Chaos Emeralds in order to prevent the being made of water from using them to potentially cause chaos across Planet Gaia. In the midst of a tragedy, Sonic and his friends are counting on you! Can you get all of the Chaos Emeralds?

GENERAL STORY (ENG version): Several hundred years ago, a great war had broken out across the world of Gaia. Seven terrible beasts had caused significant destruction across the planet, wiping out at least 20% of humanity. Seven Sages, known as the Heroes of Light emerged, ready to fight the evil that brought the darkness to the world. The villains’ goal was to wipe out Gaia and recreate it in their image. Both the Heroes and Villains fought hard, as one by one, a member on both sides fall. The war lasted for three long years before it ended in a victory for the Heroes. They sealed the beings within Gemstones, known as the Chaos Emeralds. The leader was sealed within a special Gemstone. Peace soon returned to the planet, and the Heroes of Light went back into hiding. A certain entity vowed to escape from his prison one day…

Present Day: Sonic and Miles were going for a run in a grassy field, when they saw the Floating Island mysteriously falling into the ocean. Wanting to get some answers, the duo ran back home, grabbed the Tornado, and flew out to the Island. As they quickly travel to their destination, what will they discover as to why the island crashed into the ocean again? Their investigation begins…

Secrets are bound to be found in the game. Play as eight familar characters from the Classic Era and work your way to achieve the best ending!

There are Master Emerald shards that scattered across the levels, and they need to be reclaimed in order to restore the Master Emerald and get the Floating Island back up to the sky! Try and find them all for a special reward! (NOTE: All Chaos Emeralds must be collected for this to occur.)
