Based on the manga of the same name, GioGio's Bizarre Adventure is a turn-based JRPG that takes place two years after the events of the fourth arc in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure canon, Diamond is Unbreakable.
Series veteran Koichi Hirose is sent to Italy in 2001 to investigate a young man by the name of Haruno Shiobana. Sent there by Jotaro Kujo, he's at first unaware of Haruno's haunting past: he is the son of the vampire who cursed Jotaro's family back in the 1800's, Dio Brando!
As it turns out, the young man in question actually goes by Giorno Giovanna, and like Jotaro and Koichi, possesses a "Stand", a manifestation of his soul with amazing abilities. He's named his "Gold Experience"!
After meeting Koichi, Giorno's story begins to unfold. He meets a mobster named Bruno Buccellati, and somehow finds himself plunged headfirst into Italy's mafia. Giorno's dream becomes clear; to become a "gang-star" and take down the druglords in the mysterious gang of Passione. The secrets Passione holds only go deeper and deeper, as Giorno will find on his bizarre adventure...
