What do you think?

This is pretty fun. My only big suggestion is to make the player sprite more indicative of its direction.

A game where you don't actually get guns. Using your imagination to tear guns from your opponents is an optional mandatory.

[Z]: Shoot

[C]: Warp (deals massive damage to nearby enemies)

[Left/Right]: Turn

[Up/Down]: Thrust

MECHANICS: You have a shield, a gun, and a warp drive. Using your warp drive expends your shield, but will deal massive damage to whatever enemy you are nearby when you enter or exit warp. Your shield will recharge if you do not use your warp and are not hit for a few seconds. Thrusting makes you head more in the direction your ship is facing. There is no friction in this space, so you can do some fancy strafing if you set it up right.

The enemies have shields, armor, and assorted weapons. Their shields function the same way yours do, but they do not have a warp drive. Your ship has a built-in hud that points to the nearest of each hostile ship if there is not one of that ship type in visual. Use this wisely. Also, I would advise caution with any new ship type that pops up on your HUD.
