What do you think?

It looks fantastic and i love how its 8 bit keep doing your thing

I just played this game, and, wow, I love it (sorry stupid exclamation point not working but I would but it there I swear XD). I actually like your art style, so I do think you should keep up with it. I really hope that you keep working on this. I'm not sure if I just missed it, or you haven't made it yet, but I couldn't figure out how to get to expert level on anything. Probably not in yet, but oh well. At first I was confused as to why I couldn't do certain tasks on the first day, until I realized I had a limited amount of time. I think that you should have the watching the shows take longer, because it is super easy to just go through them all. Maybe you like it like that thought, which is totally fine. Just giving you smoe feedback. Once again, I really hope you are still working on this, I'm not sure if you are, but it would be really amazing. Have a good day (eXcLaMaTiOn PoInT).

IndieLife

Jump into the world of an indie game dev
Learn and improve your programming, art and audio editing skills so that you can quit your day job to make games and be financially stable

#Description

IndieLife is a 2D rpg where you play as a guy trying to fill out his childhood dream of quitting his day job to successfully make games for a living.
Think game dev tycoon meets youtubers life.

You start off with a day job which pays just enough to get rent out of the way and which limits the time you have to learn new skills and make games.

Once you get your programming skills up high enough you can take on software contracting jobs which take up less time and pay more, you will also get the opportunity to master your skills through these jobs.

In order to make games you need to improve your programming skills, you will have the option to buy both art and sound assets so sound and audio skills are not necessary, but being able to make your own assets will improve your games.

There will be quite a few options when it comes to making games but we will get more into that when get further into development :)

You will only be able to make games during your free time so naturally the quicker you can make enough money to quit your job the easier it will be to make better and bigger games.

#Background

This game is in very early development and is likely to change overtime especially if there is good feedback.
I'm the only person working on this game and it is the first time I will attempt to make my own art so that will probably take the most time. (apologies if it sucks)

I'll be sure to update regularly with my progress :)

Hey all,

So i made some progress on the character art, (might have to re-do parts of it). Still not sure if doing my own game art is a good idea xD.

Hey,

Currently working on animating the main character, lets call him jek for now xD.
My first attempt at game art!!
May take a while!

Hey,

So I started the game last weekend and I got some features done already such as sleeping, learning basic skills and some UI etc.

I'm using placeholder art atm that is probably better than my own. I'll be working on replacing it all next.
