KINGDON HEARTS DISSIDIA - MULTIPLAYER ARENA FIGHTER - ( PSP/PC MOD Dissidia012) : r/KingdomHearts The Post that Started it All.
-What is Kingdom Hearts Dissidia?-
Back in 2021, in the middle of the pandemic, I released a complete overhaul mod for FF012 Dissidia, called Kingdom Hearts Dissidia. Within a few months, I taught myself the seemingly ancient tech surrounding PSP modding and got to work, with some great help from old community vets, creating some of the character mods used in the project.
It gained lots of traction and I was thankful to be talking to you all during and after the projects release and was hosted on its own external website aswell as a discord server. The mod received thousands of downloads in its first week and I was immensely proud of the response after Hundreds if not thousands of Hours of work.

The project had no end of troubles, another modder, who I shall not name, was seemingly bothered about the project and was part of private modding groups. He relentlessly came after me aswell as his followers, creating bot accounts to spam and deface the project, going so far as to edit the mods files to contain some quite hateful speech.
The discord group was hacked, I was locked out of my account and unable to warn anyone else or provide a new download link for anyone interested in the project.
Aswell as the ever growing discord group, a few thousand at this point, youtube traffic and life, I took a step back from the project, never managing to add the extras I wanted, but happy with the end product.
In the time of my absense, a few channels popped up, claiming to be the creator of the project. They were reported and eventually shut down, so apologies if there was any confusion on coming content or download links.
I came back a few years later, re-releasing the mod again, fixing a couple of graphical issues and leaving it to the public.
I decided to give the project another look back in January 2025, making some new content and releasing a youtube install tutorial.
This was my downfall as I had not protected myself well enough adding certain useful phrases to protect the project legally, this time around.
The youtube channel, as well as all progress throughout, trailers, fight cinematics etc I had made was now removed permanently. I was not told the reason for weeks and after pleading to Youtube, was not given my channel back. There were apparently legal issues surrounding the project, through protected IP's and Characters. They were notified and upon investigation took my project down, likely they were warned by a certain larger company, but I was never told the company's name, only that I was to remove it and forfeit my channel permenantly.
Its been a ride..
