Love the idea, but it's wayyyy to difficult. The only monsters you can actually stand up to are pixies and rats, potions resemble balloons very closely and spawn in unreachable spots and inside of walls :| Other than that, I like it. It looks very professionally made.
My first Jam game for #GJGDCJAM allowing players to play as the Mimic from Ultima!
Since the King has decided to end travel to dungeons, and being a meddling mimic you figured, "nah mate this aint gonna fly, I'll just get up there and take over this damn kingdom myself!"
Of course, being quite a weak creature at the start you will need to work your way up a bit.. of course being a Mimic means all you need to do is kill a creature and BINGO! you are that creature so it is just a matter of working your way up the food chain right?
Of course there is this one little detail.. that whole identity theft thing? Yeh it's not really optional so it might be a bit unfortunate if you work your way up and then end up being some little weakling right before hitting up the old king! So just watch your step, have fun and see how you go.
Tips/mini-guide.
Mimic supports your gamepad an XB360 pad the Start key works like Enter, X drinks potions and Y summons thine map!
Kite! the monster AI is very simple, you should be able to work out how to kite them.
Drink up Health potions have no cooldown on their use, restore you to full health and spawn randomly. Summon thine map and find where they are, seek out a stock of potions and quaff them while kiting.
Patience kiting, drinking and attacking takes time, don’t rush it and keep an eye on your health bar because those monsters give no quarter to their foe!
If you master these techniqueue’s then the game becomes much easier!

It is the Visual Studio Runtime for C/C++ games.. I think Win8 and 10 have it already.

At request a minor balance tweak as it was too hard.. the game is still quite hard but there is some technique to it so stick with it.. hit me up on Twitter if a hint is needed :)

Uhh tested on an nVidia and discovered a very minor glitch in rendering, so this patch fixes that.. hopefully it displays ok on ATi cards!
