Hey, I am a developer looking for a smaller project, and this seems like something I could use. I wanted to ask if I could use some of the basic coding to bring your concept further into an actual game. If you would like to discuss more send me a friend request!
Here's a little Game of Life I made... I find the game itself very intersting, though it has no goal ^^
All you need to do is to extract the .zip file, and then launch the game. The config file allow you to change some options and the ReadMe to get informations on how to play it.
The game includes a cycles counter, a cells counter and also speed control.

Just about the game...
I think it is the last version of the game. I don’t have anything else to add, and the code is fast enough (well, for me it is).
