nice
Cool jam entry! The art is simple and effective, and gives you a decent idea of how close you are to the upper/lower bounds. The combat is pretty fun and the enemies seem fairly competent without being frustrating. Good work!
Solid attempt at a Luftrausers game, some of the sound effects weren't playing properly for me but I really like what you have done here. Some really nice art as well. Good job and good luck.
This is really fun! I love how even your health is zero you can still shoot and take out a few more enemies before the round ends. Controls feel really smooth too. The art is nice and simple. I feel like the camera panning vertically is a little jarring. Moved too quick maybe? Could use some more variations in the sound fx and music would top it off. Nice job!
I think you can do better! Next time try to add a bit more of yourself into the mix of all the influences that make up our inspirations! For my taste it's a bit too close to the original Luftrausers
The Motherbrain has materialized in the sky of your homeworld. Fend off the swathes of engineered invaders with weapon upgrades and daring manouvers. Each new wave is generated based on your weaknesses in the previous engagement. However, the more dangerous the enemies get, the more points you can score. Don't let the Motherbrain's genetic algorithm converge!
Take on the foe together. A second pilot can join the fray locally at any time.
K - shoot, up - boost, left + right - turn
1 - shoot, W - boost, A + S - turn
So whats with the algorithm?
Each enemy wave is based on the performance of the enemies in the previous wave. The best ones are carried over directly. Then new ones are generated based on the traits of the best performing. Lastly, a completely random element is introduced (cosmic radiation).

Heat seeking rockets picking the algorithm generated enemies from the atmosphere. Had a blast during the jam and playing this with an old mate today. So I will start ticking off the features that didn't make it during the original period. #operagxjam #ufo
