havent been on gamejolt for around a year but am so excited to see your working on this again
So used to seeing ambitious and - more importantly - promising projects like this die off before they finish (My Little Investigations being a good example). Seeing an update from a only a month ago is a good sign. Keep it up!

the fact that they wrote trial wrong makes me cringe
Intended to be a sequel to the Turnabout Storm movie series. Trials in Equestria follows Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, Athena Cykes, and new defense attorney Cobalt Spikes, through murder cases that have been happening more frequently through out Equestria, and it's up to the four of them along with their friends, to find and expose the real murderer for his or her crimes, but instead find that a bigger plot is taking place.
Features:
*Six main cases that follow our four main attorney's through out equestria defending familiar ponies from Vinyl Scratch to Twilight Velvet.
*An ever growing library of optional cases that expand on the story and character backgrounds.

The Hearth's Warming Turnabout
Twilight, and the members of the Wright anything agency, are enjoying a fireworks display celebrating Hearth's Warming Eve, but their evening is interrupted when Phoenix is arrested under charges of murder. Enraged, Twilight takes up the case with Colbalt at her side to defend phoenix in court.
Turnabout Time Turner
The Doctor is to be put on trial for the murder of a Unicorn named Neon Lights, causing Ditzy to turn to the Wright Anything Agency for help, only to run into Cobalt before leaving Canterlot who accepts the case with Ditzy as his investigative partner and co-council.

After Phoenix returns from his year long disappearance he's already dragged into another case, defending Vinyl Scratch after being accused of murdering her roommate Octavia.

Mentally Advanced Turnabout - Phoenix is pulled into an alternate version of Equestria with more... crazy versions of the mane six and is forced by Twilight to defend the yellow one in yet another murder case.
Ultra fast Turnabout - Apollo is pulled into a alternate dimension of Equestria by Princess Celestia to defend Twilight. After a very creepy sounding explanation, Apollo proceeds to the detention center only to find out, that the Twilight of this universe is very different from the Twilight he knows.
Turnabout's are Witchcraft - Athena is pulled into an alternate version of Equestria by a very spoiled and self-absorbed Twilight to defend her brother and husband, Francis. Athena will come across many obstacles along the way, many make her doubt whether Twilight is on the up and up.

The demo will include the opening cutscene completely remade from the ground up (with some slight changes), the first investigation and (Hopefully) some of the first day of the trial.
