Night of the Little Birds

Night of the Little Birds is an side scrolling helicopter action game inspired by the classic Choplifter, where you pilot AH-6J Little Bird and do various tasks on the battlefield.

It was quite an experimental project. Instead of the simple controls that Choplifter had, I tried to simulate more realistic helicopter controls in 2D.

Unfortunately this concept didn't work very well and eventually ended in a bit bittersweet way, leaving lots of unused datas in the game.

I experimented many ideas but they didn't work very well, and weren't really that fun but rather boring and tedious.

Furthermore, Due to its counter-intutive controls, It was very hard to adjust the difficulty and making various enemies were basically impossible as they could easily make unforgiving situations.

As a result, There's only 5 kinds of missions with not so many variety.

But I still welcome feedbacks, so please leave your opinions about the game after playing it.

I will make a simpler but more fun helicopter game next time.
