One Night with Hikiko (experimental build)

Version: 1.0.0about 2 months ago

OVERVIEW

A homage to those niche, low effort Five Nights at Freddy's fangames created in Scratch and similar engines.

Created to test my current beginner level coding skills in under a month as a "self-applied gamejam challenge", One Night with Hikiko is an elaborate experimental fangame powered by Catrobat's infamous Pocket Code engine.

FNaF by Scott Cawthon

GAME FEATURES

• One single night lasting from 12:00 AM until 8:00 AM

• A light switch mechanic to fend off against the usual threats, and one unique mechanic preserved for one character appearing late in the night

• Terribly cropped pngs of edited stock images and doodles as your threats

• A security camera surveillance + the famous 'Music Box Wind-Up' mechanic dedicated to one unbearably dangerous enemy

• An accessible "Extras" featuring the usual + a Hard Mode rendition of the main night with aggressively more active characters, but a faster night progression matching the exclusive boss fight-esque bgm

And that's all, surface level wise.

For further instructions on how to play, it's all in the game itself.

All credits in Extras.

HOW TO INSTALL? (Experimental Build)

It's only compatible on most mobile devices.

• First, you need to install a functional, most recent version of Pocket Code (V1.3.0), which can be found here:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/catrobat.org/pocket-code

• After that, download the build of the game as usual, which is an extractable zip file.

• Open Pocket Code and go to 'Projects on device', then hit the three dot option at the right top corner — and after that, tap 'Import project' which should allow you access to files.

• Look for the zip file of the game, 'One Night at Hikiko V1.0.0' and tap on it.

• If all instructions are cleared, then you should be able to see a copy of the game in the project listing with its full title — tap on that, then tap on the orange 'Play' button seen at the bottom corners of the screen, right on top of the '+' button (which should be irrelevant if you want to play the game normally).

• The build of the game should be playable by then.

Objectively the worst FNaF fangame ever imo genuinely. What am I even doing

Game is actually roughly 96% complete. It's still in a debugging stage
