this game isn't 100% dead. there are still some old devs working on it in the spare time but won't be worked on 100% of the time. the original dev is no longer working on it due to personal reasons, but there are some people who are doing some work.

Just to clarify once again: This game has NOT died. The old creator has given up on the game, but it has been picked up by a different, amazing team. They restarted the whole project a while ago, but it's still being worked on. There's a discord for the game as well. I've been trying to fill the empty hole of One-Shot and Niko in my heart, but I can't seem to fill it with any fanfic or ANYTHING!

Synopsis

The world knows you exist. You suddenly woke up in a strange dark house along with a child named Niko, who wants to find a way home, and you both must traverse the areas in the world while completing puzzles, dealing with obstacles, and interacting with the environment and the people around you. Your fate depends on your choice.

Outsider is a OneShot fan game of 2D top-down puzzle adventure genre created by Helios Team, headed by Onyx35678 and JayCee Creates. It is based on the original concept by Eliza Velasquez, Nightmargin, and GIRakaCheezer.

A: Yes! This will be a legitimate OneShot fan game, albeit we have a different story as we try to prevent OneShot spoilers. An alternate storyline, per se.

A: Since this is a fan game, it's absolutely free of charge. Nightmargin and Eliza even approved of this idea. :)

Q: What engine did you guys use to make this?
A: Just like the original OneShot, we use RPG Maker XP.

Q: The music is so cool! How did you guys make them?
A: I, JayCee, am the composer of the Outsider OST, and I use FL Studio 12 to make them. I try to keep the motif of the OST as mysterious and OneShot-themed as possible.

Q: Is this game still alive?
A: Yes, as long as we are in touch with it.
