You wake up in a strange place resembling a lab. You don't remember how you got there or really anything about you. You feel a strange force in your chest and see that you have throbbing green vains going all down your arms. Bodies are everywhere throughout the lab, appearing to be of Space Marines, just like you. The lab is wrecked and full of blood and guts. You hear a strange noise sounding like some kind of monster from outside the medical room you woke up in and grab a pistol near the dead body of another Space Marine.
Project Hybrid is a Dual Stick Arcade Top Down Shooter, where you fight off waves of Aliens and Human-Alien Hybrids. As you kill enemies, you rack up score and energy, which you can use to:
Build up a Hybrid meter, which, when full, you can use to become a Hybrid and have enhanced abilities for a short time
Buy other weapons, ammo and health
Interact with the environment like opening doors to get to new areas or open shortcuts
You can use various weapons against the horde, such as:
Pistol
Shotgun
Assault Rifle
Flamethrower
Minigun
Grenade Launcher
Rocket Launcher
Plasma Rifle
Raygun
