What do you think?

Considering you're making this game in Scratch.

I'd argue the best next step besides using GMS2 would be to use Turbowarp for the game that's essentially Scratch with less limitations, higher performance, and can have the game playable on browser.

Welcome to Shuffletale, an alternate universe of Undertale where the previously welcoming and wholehearted friends you made in the underground have had their lives and fates rearranged, and for the worst. Can you survive the treacherous obsession of Doctor Alphys, the constant assassination attempts from Agent Asgore, or eventually, even the wrath of the vicious Empress Undyne?

F.A.Q (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: When is the game coming out?

A: There's no specific date for the game's release. I'm working on this project entirely alone, with perhaps a few minor assistances down the road. Be patient, as It's likely to be a long time before I can even get a demo out.

Q: THIS ISN'T SHUFFLETALE! ALL THE CHARACTERS ARE IN THE WRONG ROLES!!

A: Okay, not a question, but okay. This is a take on the Shuffletale AU by Super_Skelebros (Most of the iterations of Shuffletale that you're thinking about (the ones with Undyne as Toriel, Alphys as Sans, etc) came AFTER the creation of this version.)

You can find the original Gamejolt page here, though it's currently on an indefinite hiatus: https://gamejolt.com/games/shuffletale_official/574934

Q: Can you use *Insert song or sprite here* for your game?

A: Short answer, it depends. Usually I do not request sprites and/or assets from people outside of the original Shuffleteam, and even then, I rarely ask them for help. However there are PLENTY of exceptions I'd be willing to make.

Q: Is this project dead?

A: No, and I hope it stays that way. Shuffletale is the first project in a long time that I've been genuinely invested in, whereas most die out within the first week or two. I've been working on RGG!Shuffletale since early 2021, and while back then it was just me simply remaking sprites from the original Shuffletale, it still helped shape the concept of my take.

Q: Will this be for all users (PC/Mac/Android/Linux etc.)?

A: Yes, although it will most certainly take some time. So far PC is my primary focus, but I'll eventually move onto Android adaptations once the game is complete. Linux may or may not happen.

Q: Will this be available on Chromebook?

A: Yes. There will be two releases:

1. Browser Version
2. Application Version

Q: Can I use your assets for my game?

A: No.

The project isn't dead!
This game is a very on-and-off thing for me, so dont expect there to be any playable versions soon, and dont expect me to work on it every single day.

Thanks! I hope to get a few leaks out soon.

Introducing to you, the protagonist of Shuffletale, **AVERY!**
I won't ramble about his personality. You'll figure it out in-game. All you need to know is that it seems he's taken quite a fall...

Just a quick poll. Not quite sure on which one I want to go with for now. Each of the engines I'm using have their own issues I need to fix, so I'll see what you guys say.

On a serious note, I'm working on Battle Engine stuff right now. I DID have a battle engine already made, but figured this new layout might make the game a little more unique.
