Random Doom generator is my final procedurally generated map mod for Doom 2. Unlike my other ones, this succeeds in making very very good, small, hard maps... It uses a system to script floor height variations that worked out very well, and the robust texture system allowed it to use more than one texture per room, which makes it look amazing.

The maps are not configurable this time, all the difficulty configurations that go into making a map are randomized and maps have a difficulty from 1-9. They start at one, but a random 50/50 chance is applied for an increase in each map... The higher that number gets, the more hard enemies will appear. Eventually easy enemies are phased out totally and enemy counts become much higher and the map becomes a slaughtermap due to that. That's where the player skill comes in. You need to be able to handle ultra hard maps to beat many maps in this.

You can play infinite amount of maps in this mod. The switch behind the player is the emergency exit, it allows you to exit the map if it's not completable and is always available. The black computer switch opens switch locked doors... Keys open doors and every locked door and switch locked door leads to where the exit teleport is (provided it isn't blocked off - in that case use the emergency exit).

The mod runs on gzdoom 4.14 and is ran in it's own folder. Put doom2.wad in the folder and run rdg.bat to play....
