Legit my favorite .exe game
I love the artstyle!
And that creature is extremely horrific!
And the basic controls and gameplay give me a sence of nostalgia.

Can't wait for a possible next update 
So I just finished the game and I'm gonna give some of my thoughts about it.
First, the good.
I think the ideas for this exe game were pretty interesting, Sonic exe's design is very cool looking and the deaths are scary and different enough to stand out from other exe games. And Most of the new sprites are very well made.
Now, the bad..
The engine/controls suck. It's very slow, clunky, and hard to play. At times I would get stuck on walls or floors just because of the game's engine. It always kept taking me out of the game and ruining the experience. Another issue is the other half of the sprites. while some sprites are amazing others are down right bad and the base sprites for the characters feel pasted into the game rather then being apart of it. Lastly the level design sucks. the lack of objects like bridges and loops makes it feel like a walking sim at times, and don't get me started on how knuckle's second act was just a repeat of the first with no changes other then more blood.
Overall I give it a 6/10. If it was on a better more stable engine and the bad sprite and level designs were fixed this may have been one of the best exe games out there. but rn it's just ok. Decent effort but needs a lot of improvement to be the best
Im going to be honest with you man... This game sucks.
The controls feel weird, slow and glitchy (I swear to god, I hate that you have to be moving to be able to jump in the knuckles section, and that said jump gets you stuck in the ceiling most of the time), the level desing is confusing, you can still hear your character move when you are in a cutscene, the sprites for Tails, Knuckles and Eggman look weird in contrast to the background (especially in the eggman level) and the "jumpscares" aren't that scary, and the list goes on.
The only thing I see rescatable about the game are the Sonic.exe sprites and the background (The burning forest in the Tails level looks great). But sadly it doesn't compensate for the other problems.
I sorta wish the original Sonic.EXE take by you was preserved on this page.
In 2010 an unknown rom was posted on the romhacking community of sonic the hedgehog. The rom in question was found near an abandoned nursery under broken condition. The rom was eventually dumped for all to play.
This rom became infamous for not having the greatest controls, and it appeared to be very glitchy. Some the glitches were that collision was off, and enemies spawned less frequently, it was removed on October 30th of 2010.
One user managed to grab it in time, [which will not be named] and played the hack for themselves, and it wasnt just glitches that they saw.
